A specialist consultancy is looking for an Acoustic Consultant with 3-6 years of experience to join its growing team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Acoustic Consultant to work on a diverse portfolio of building acoustics and environmental noise projects while benefiting from a supportive and flexible working environment.

As an Acoustic Consultant, you will be involved in a wide range of projects across commercial, residential, education, and infrastructure sectors. You'll collaborate with architects, engineers, and planners to deliver innovative acoustic solutions while developing your expertise and advancing towards a senior role.

Duties for the role of Acoustic Consultant include:

  • Undertaking acoustic assessments, surveys, and impact studies

  • Producing detailed technical reports and acoustic modelling

  • Conducting noise and vibration monitoring and data analysis

  • Liaising with clients, design teams, and local authorities

  • Supporting business development and mentoring junior staff

Skills and experience required for the role of Acoustic Consultant:

  • 3-6 years of experience in building or environmental acoustics

  • Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Environmental Science, or related discipline

  • Proficiency with CadnaA, SoundPLAN, or similar software

  • Strong knowledge of BS4142, BS8233, and ProPG guidance

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills

  • MIOA or working towards membership desirable
