Systems Modelling and Simulation Engineer
Initial 12-month contract
Bristol only, onsite full time - can work a compressed 4 day week
75ph, Umbrella, inside IR35
SC must be in place prior to starting the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining performance models to support a key programme within the organisation.
- Integrating components from within the team and other project areas.
- Designing, implementing, testing, and documenting simulation models while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Interacting with other functional teams autonomously, including Guidance Navigation & Control, Software, Hardware-in-the-Loop, Systems Design & Validation, and Technical Quality.
- Performing technical analyses and investigations into a full range of issues and problems, developing solutions either individually or as part of a project team.
- Engaging with model users to understand and respond to their needs, ensuring the model's fitness for its intended use.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in simulation and modelling, preferably on aerospace projects.
- Proficiency with The MathWorks products, specifically Simulink, Embedded MATLAB, and Stateflow.
- Ability to produce computer simulations from mathematical specifications.
- Understanding of the modelling process and working within a quality process.
- An appropriate Engineering Degree or Masters in fields such as Systems or Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Ideally, knowledge and experience with Configuration and Management Tools like Rational Team Concert, Requirement Management Tools like DOORS, and programming languages such as C, FORTRAN, and Ada.
