Systems Modelling and Simulation Engineer

Initial 12-month contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining performance models to support a key programme within the organisation.
  • Integrating components from within the team and other project areas.
  • Designing, implementing, testing, and documenting simulation models while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Interacting with other functional teams autonomously, including Guidance Navigation & Control, Software, Hardware-in-the-Loop, Systems Design & Validation, and Technical Quality.
  • Performing technical analyses and investigations into a full range of issues and problems, developing solutions either individually or as part of a project team.
  • Engaging with model users to understand and respond to their needs, ensuring the model's fitness for its intended use.






Job Requirements:

  • Experience in simulation and modelling, preferably on aerospace projects.
  • Proficiency with The MathWorks products, specifically Simulink, Embedded MATLAB, and Stateflow.
  • Ability to produce computer simulations from mathematical specifications.
  • Understanding of the modelling process and working within a quality process.
  • An appropriate Engineering Degree or Masters in fields such as Systems or Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Ideally, knowledge and experience with Configuration and Management Tools like Rational Team Concert, Requirement Management Tools like DOORS, and programming languages such as C, FORTRAN, and Ada.
