Senior Acoustic Consultant - Bristol

A respected UK-based Environmental and Engineering Consultancy is seeking a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join their expanding team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced acoustic professional to lead impactful projects across the building and environmental acoustics sectors while mentoring junior staff and developing client relationships.

Essential Criteria:

  • A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, or a related subject.

  • At least 5 years' experience in a consultancy setting, delivering acoustic assessments and reports.

  • Proven experience managing projects across environmental or building acoustics.

  • Strong client-facing and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in noise modelling software such as CadnaA, SoundPLAN, or similar.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Chartered status (or working towards it).

  • Experience mentoring junior team members or leading small teams.

  • A track record of successful project delivery and business development.

  • A full UK driving licence.

The Role:You will take ownership of a variety of high-profile acoustics projects across sectors including planning, construction, infrastructure, and building design. You'll play a central role in client communication, technical delivery, and supporting the development of junior staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading environmental and/or building acoustics assessments.

  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports for planning and compliance.

  • Conducting site visits, monitoring, and acoustic modelling.

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Supporting the growth of the Bristol office and wider acoustics team.
