Submarine Safety Consultant
Various locations - Bristol, Plymouth, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Falmouth & Liverpool)
Paying between 55,000 -75,000 (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
- Detailed working knowledge of relevant regulations and standards including Defence Safety Authority, Defence Nuclear Safety Regulations and Naval Authority Certification.
- Proven track record in the development of safety artefacts, including facilitating HAZID and risk assessments, development of safety cases, and supporting assessments.
- Proven and recent experience of undertaking detailed hazard and risk analysis utilising such techniques as SWIFT, HAZOP, FMECA, FTA, LOPA, etc.
- Proven track record in managing and delivering of complex technical projects and/ or multiple concurrent technical projects
- Proven track record in successfully delivering bids
- Successful track record in providing business development support.
Required Skillset:
- Nuclear SQEP
- Circa 4+ years in a consultancy environment.
- Circa 4+ years working in the Defence Nuclear Enterprise.
- Recent experience in acting as an Independent Safety Auditor/ Advisor
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining successful client relationships, securing enduring workstreams
- Experience in staff management
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
- Ideally, be a Chartered engineer, Member of a relevant professional institution.
