Production Warehouse Operative

INTERACTION RECRUITMENT IS LOOKING TO RECRUIT 6 TRUCK & VAN FITTERS :

The role is onsite in Fishponds, Bristol working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4pm. Overtime maybe required.

The focus of the role is to construct commercial vehicle bodies. This includes a wide range of products including tippers, box vans, drop sides, specialist builds as well as van conversions and accessories.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Fitting, assembling, and installing parts/components to light commercial vehicles to create a functional van conversion to the required specification.
• The ability to read and understand drawings, instructions, and data to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Adherence to the job pack to ensure the correct parts and components are used to maintain consistency and quality.
• Operate basic cutting machinery and a variety of hand tools.
• Materials used include aluminium, steel, GRP, timber.
• Main functions required include drilling, cutting, riveting, bolting, screwing.
• Conform to safety regulations.
• Work as a member of a team or independently.
• A large percentage of the work is carried out on new vehicle chassis and a very high standard of finish is required.

Manual Handling and Working Conditions:

• The role includes the handling of goods, parts and fabrications. These may be heavy, awkward and require the assistance of another person. It is your responsibility to ensure that all guidelines are followed to ensure your own safety and that of others.
• The role involves long periods of working on your feet.
• The role may at times involve working on another site, outside or some other area as requested by your Team Leader or Manager.

Personal Attributes and Qualities:

• The ability to use your own initiative as you will be working on your own much of the time.
• A good understanding of the English language and the ability to communicate clearly in the same language.
