Location: Bristol

Salary: 30,000 - 35,000

This is a great opportunity to join a specialist sustainability consultancy who provide highly technical services and solutions to the built environment industry. They are looking for a Building Physics Engineer to join their Bristol based energy team and help deliver on numerous exciting construction projects.

Duties for the role of Building Physics Engineer include:

  • Use IES-VE software to assess energy use, overheating and daylighting to optimise building performance
  • Work alongside the design team and liaise with clients to build strong working relationships
  • Ensure projects are in compliance with Part L and Part O regulations
  • Provide consultancy on building physics aspects of projects
  • Carry out energy modelling for BREEAM projects

Skills and experience for the role of Building Physics Engineer:

  • Relevant degree within a sustainability, energy, architecture, or engineering discipline
  • Relevant post qualification experience in a Building Physics Engineering role
  • Experience with IES-VE software to carry out energy modelling and analysis
  • Familiarity with UK Building Regulations such as Part L and Part O
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, sustainable building design, and energy systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Live within a commutable distance to Bristol
