Safeguarding Manager - Part Time

My client is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Champion to oversee their safeguarding responsibilities, act as the main point of contact for audits, and ensure best practice standards in all safeguarding procedures. Candidates must have experience working within the football sector, ideally within the FA framework for safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement safeguarding standards and criteria.
  • Develop and manage training materials and sessions for various groups.
  • Produce and update safeguarding communications and deliver related events.
  • Handle safeguarding queries, concerns, and cases in a timely manner.
  • Draft and implement safeguarding procedures and processes.
  • Report and refer serious cases in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Collaborate with the HR department on safeguarding strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with EFL and Premier League safeguarding standards.
  • Be visible and approachable within the club.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in safeguarding or a related role.
  • Knowledge of child protection requirements and childcare legislation.
  • Ability to work unsociable hours, including evenings, weekends, and matchdays.
  • Desire to understand football governance.

Please note, this is a part time role and the salary on offer is pro rated.
