The company are a leading waste management organisation who manage over 10 sites across the UK. They specialise in energy production from landfill gas- producing over 150 GWh of electricity each year and are committed to providing renewable solutions to waste management.

In this role, no two days are the same. This is a varied position where you will be working on gas collection systems - from balancing to fault finding, as well as mechanical maintenance duties where you will be working on the power generation engines and associated equipment. Maintenance and service is both reactive and pre-planned, where you will receive training on all aspect's landfill.

This is the ideal role for anyone working in a hands-on position, such as light maintenance or plant operative roles who are looking to get more out of their career. You will be looking to receive training to become a landfill gas engineer, securing yourself a long-term career within an organisation who provide excellent employee benefits - including private healthcare, bonuses and more, as well as within a futureproof industry.

The Role:

  • Monitoring gas collection systems on Landfill sites, including balancing of analysers and downloading data.
  • Maintenance, fault diagnosis and breakdown of gas collection systems.
  • Power Generation asset maintenance, including engines and generator sets.
  • Plant equipment maintenance (mechanical and electrical).
  • 24 Hour emergency call out - 1 in 6 weeks.
  • Occasional travel to Southeast and South Wales.

The Person:

  • Working in a hands on-role, including light maintenance engineers, plant operatives, outdoors workers etc.
  • Experienced with working outdoors - and willing to work in all weather conditions.
  • Looking to expand their skillset through technical training.
  • Motivated to start a career in renewable energy sector.
  • IT Literate with ability to use a laptop.
