Area Sales Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our leading global manufacturing client who specialise in building products based in Wick, Bristol. We are looking for someone who will produce, design and sell Prestressed Block and Beam Flooring for the domestic housing market. You will be responsible for the sales in the respective area which is approximately North of the M4 from West wales to Essex up to the midlands.

Area Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage the customers in your area – Groundworkers, Builders, Merchants and Developers.
  • Achieve individual sales targets and proactively champion the team’s objectives to achieve unit targets.
  • Grow relationship with existing customers to maximise sales opportunities.
  • To increase profitability by striving to achieve Sales Targets, Lead Generation, building relationships with customers and ensuring pricing is effective.
  • Acquisition of new customers through coordinated business development activities and market knowledge
  • Prepare quotations using customer drawings or going to site to measure in or to estimate a Bill of Materials
  • Work with customers, provide technical support to develop flooring solutions, interpret their requirements to allow design staff to approve the design.
  • Process sales orders and call offs and manage queries and complaints

Requirements:

  • Experience selling within the construction industry (Desirable)
  • Previous sales and negotiation experience
  • Confident knowledge of computer systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
  • Ability to interpret building design plans, especially foundation plans and have knowledge of domestic construction practices and specifications

This is a permanent opportunity working a 37.5hr week Monday to Friday and they are offering a base salary of £48k + Company Car + Up to 12% Company Bonus.
