This dynamic law firm is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their ambitious Clients & Markets BD team, supporting the Real Estate and Leisure, Food & Drink sectors. Reporting into the Head of Business Development, you will be instrumental in driving go-to-market strategies and supporting legal teams to win work, build relationships, and grow client accounts. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of high-quality bids, proposals and pitch presentations.
  • Create and support sales pipelines and lead generation activity.
  • Use CRM tools to manage campaigns and segment audiences.
  • Build and leverage a strong network of intermediaries and industry contacts.
  • Evaluate the ROI of BD initiatives and deliver regular reports.
  • Shape and deliver BD/marketing plans aligned with sector strategies.
  • Support Client Relationship Partners in managing client panels and growth initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and guide investment of BD budgets.
  • Develop campaigns and collaborate on compelling content and marketing materials.
  • Raise the firm’s profile via PR, award entries, legal directories, events, and social media.
  • Secure impactful speaking opportunities and manage internal communications.
  • Work closely across UK offices and with international partners to deliver results.
  • Be a collaborative, proactive team member who contributes to firm-wide success.
  Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate or equivalent experience in a professional services BD/marketing role.
  • Sector knowledge in Real Estate, Leisure, or Food & Drink is advantageous.
  • CIM qualification desirable.
  • Strong writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and proactive – with a good sense of humour.
