As we continue our journey of growth and expansion to serve the new era of nuclear energy, Boccard, as a leading specialist in engineering, manufacturing, construction and maintenance in the nuclear energy industry, are looking for talented, experienced Project Quality Manager to join our Quality Team here at Boccard.
The Project Quality Manager will report to the UK Quality Manager and will assist in defining quality standards for the delivery of projects, ensuring quality assurance measures to guarantee those standards are met.
Based at our Bristol city centre office with regular travel to HPC and our fully digitalised manufacturing facility in Deeside, near Chester. The Project Quality Manager is responsible in assisting the UK Quality Manager to:
Develop, review and maintain project processes for the successful implementation and completion of the piping support project initially.
Promote a Right First-Time attitude and ensuring final quality of the delivery.
Develop, embed and maintain Nuclear Safety Culture behaviours.
Carry out training sessions including Nuclear Culture & CFSI.
Liaise with the quality teams & surveillance teams to ensure raw material is free from CFSI and compliant to the relevant standards.
Support in the approval, review, audit, and measurements of the approved suppliers list.
Support manufacturing & installation teams with technical topics leading the teams to resolutions and completion of project scopes.
Proactive approach in the detection or possible detection of CFSI to ensure protection against CFSI of our suppliers, items, parts into the business.
Provide assurance that manufacturing and construction processes are efficient and up-to-date.
Be the main point of contact on all defined Project Quality aspects.
Ensure that the delivery centre applies the defined procedures for the project.
Manage the quality assurance & quality control of manufacturing activities including the required NDT and dimensional checks, and its associated records.
Monitor the performance status of projects through relevant indicators - Safety First-On time-On spec-On Budget-Customer satisfaction.
Understands and exceeds customer (internal or external) needs and expectations.
Responsible for communicating with the Client on quality matters.
Provides feedback to the Project team and leaders on concerns regarding Quality.
Analyseand resolve process quality issues and needs as they relate to process performance and quality requirements.
Manages data related to KPI's and identify opportunities for improvement / Preparing performance reports for relevant stakeholders.
Travel to suppliers toensure quality and process capacities are met. This may include regular visits, auditing and carrying out reviews.
Become familiar with company policies and train the team to follow guidelines.

Minimum HNC in Engineering or related subject
Knowledgeable and understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 19443, welding & NDT Standards
Knowledgeable of RCCM and any related requirements
Knowledgeable of Nuclear New Build Requirements
Advanced knowledge of modern welding procedures
Excellent communication skills with a good eye for detail
Fluent in English both written and verbally
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills based on facts
Advanced knowledge of MS Pack Office (especially Excel)
