We are currently working closely with a leading defence organisation who are looking for a Commercial Contracts Manager to join the team. This is a full-time permanent position based on-site (hybrid).

Key responsibilities will include:

Manage the full lifecycle of commercial contracts from initial negotiation through to execution and closeout.

Lead the negotiation of contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal compliance.

Drive the bidding process and route-to-contract activities, including cross-functional collaboration to deliver accurate costs and timely proposals.

Support contract delivery through amendments, deliverable reviews, and setting acceptance criteria.

Oversee compliance with relevant regulations and standards including ITAR, EAR, FAR/DFARS and others applicable to the defence sector.

Identify and manage contractual risks, providing mitigation strategies across departments.

Act as a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders on contractual matters.

Provide regular reporting on contract status, risks, and key issues to senior leadership.

Support the resolution of contractual disputes in conjunction with legal and commercial teams.

The successful candidate will have:

Proven commercial experience within a defence or similarly regulated industry.

Demonstrable experience drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts and commercial agreements.

Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Confident managing multiple contract obligations within fast-paced environments.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

Familiarity with MoD contracting, including DEFCONs and QDCs, is preferred.
