Contract: Full time, permanent
Salary: 31,000 per year
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 (rotating)
Start date: As soon as possible
About the Role
We are recruiting for a full time Metal Saw Operator to join our clients team in Bristol on a permanent basis. This role offers long term security, development opportunities and the chance to work in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Metal Saw Operator, you will play an important role in our production process by accurately cutting metal sheets and plates in line with work orders. You will be responsible for ensuring that materials are prepared to the correct specifications, equipment is operated safely, and any issues are reported promptly.
This role would suit someone who is experienced in using metal saws, has a good eye for detail and enjoys working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate metal saws safely and in line with company procedures
- Cut and prepare metal sheets and plates according to detailed work orders and specifications
- Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure quality standards are met
- Accurately complete documentation and maintain records of completed work
- Report any issues or faults with equipment to the line manager without delay
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure production targets are achieved
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in the operation of metal saws is essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and follow technical work orders and instructions
- Flexible approach to working rotating shifts
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Awareness of health and safety requirements within a workshop or manufacturing environment
