Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, implementing, and managing Resident Parking Schemes (RPS) across specific areas of the city.
  • Ensuring schemes are efficient, legally compliant, and responsive to the needs of residents, businesses, and stakeholders.
  • Developing schemes, engaging with stakeholders, and conducting consultations.
  • Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance with relevant legislation such as the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  • Managing financial oversight and budgeting for projects.
  • Monitoring performance and reporting to senior decision-makers.
  • Balancing multiple projects and setting up organisational plans to manage workloads effectively.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in parking management, highways, transport planning, or local authority operations.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Financial acumen and experience with budgeting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing reports for senior decision-makers.
