Contract Manager

We're recruiting on behalf of one of Bristol's fastest growing contractors. They are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the charge on multiple projects, typically ranging between £250k£1m, delivering excellence from inception to completion.

As Contracts Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing projects from inception to completion. You'll oversee project teams, liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, and ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of multiple construction projects in line with KPIs
Coordinate with Site Managers, QSs, Buyers, and the Finance team
Manage stakeholder relationships: clients, consultants, suppliers & local authorities
Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards
Deliver accurate reporting and proactive risk management
Maintain high-performance site teams and manage resources effectively
Ensure seamless project handovers and aftercare support

We're looking for a strategic leader with proven experience in delivering construction projects for a Main Contractor, Developer, or Regional Subcontractor in the UK.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Strong technical construction knowledge and problem-solving ability
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g. Asta, MS Project, Project Commander)
Experience writing detailed project and risk reports
Familiarity with health and safety legislation and inspections
IT literate and confident working with project management systems
Resilient, consistent, enthusiastic, and able to motivate teams
SMSTS qualified or equivalent
Full UK Driving Licence

Ideal Candidate Experience
Hands-on experience managing multiple construction projects in the £250k£1m range
Background working for a Main Contractor or Developer
Previous roles as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager
Track record of delivering predictable, high-quality outcomes on time and within budget

Salary:
£55 65k depending on experience + package
