Who you will be working for: Fuseland Electrical and Mechanical Services - a premier Building Services Company in the Southwest and South Wales. In addition to expanding to offer comprehensive building solutions, their services now include design, installation, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and renewable systems both in Bristol and Cardiff.

On behalf of Fuseland, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Electrical Contracts Manager to lead the successful delivery of electrical projects across a range of construction sites. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing contracts from inception through to completion-ensuring all works are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with industry standards and regulations.

The role demands strong leadership and coordination skills due to the requirement of working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to drive performance and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the project life-cycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven professional to play a vital role in delivering complex packages within a dynamic construction environment.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all site teams adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and client-specific safety procedures.
  • Prepare and submit accurate Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS); conduct site health & safety audits and lead Toolbox Talks.
  • Develop and maintain detailed testing and commissioning schedules, including task planning, time-lines, and resource allocation.
  • Manage overall project time-lines, identify critical paths, and proactively resolve potential delays or issues.
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing ongoing support, performance reviews, and professional development.
  • Coordinate and supervise site engineers to ensure project milestones and client deadlines are consistently met.
  • Monitor and control financial performance of contracts, maintaining strict budgetary oversight and cost efficiency.
  • Manage multiple concurrent sites and contracts, ensuring consistent delivery across all projects.
  • Conduct site surveys and collaborate with other departments to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and project alignment.
  • Oversee project invoicing and ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, track, and adjust project budgets to ensure effective financial and resource management throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 4+ or a degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • Proven experience in managing electrical contracts and delivering complex projects
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, current wiring regulations, and industry compliance standards
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a client-focused mindset
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects under pressure
  • Self-motivated individual with a solution-oriented approach
  • Full UK driving licence (clean)
