What You'll Be Doing

As the Credit Controller, you'll be responsible for managing a large portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are received on time, and maintaining accurate records in line with regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively chase outstanding payments via phone, email, and written communication
  • Monitor and manage customer credit limits and payment terms
  • Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and actions taken
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve invoice or service-related queries
  • Prepare aged debt reports and cash flow forecasts
  • Support compliance with industry regulations and internal policies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of credit control processes

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, low-value transaction environment
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and data protection
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, Oracle)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
