What You'll Be Doing

As the Credit Controller, you'll be responsible for managing a large portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are received on time, and maintaining accurate records in line with regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:

Proactively chase outstanding payments via phone, email, and written communication
Monitor and manage customer credit limits and payment terms
Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of all communications and actions taken
Liaise with internal departments to resolve invoice or service-related queries
Prepare aged debt reports and cash flow forecasts
Support compliance with industry regulations and internal policies
Contribute to continuous improvement of credit control processes

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role
Comfortable working in a high-volume, low-value transaction environment
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and data protection
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, Oracle)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
