NOTION4 is a fast-growing, multi-division construction and maintenance company.

We’re looking for a part-time Credit Controller who can help us maintain strong cashflow, build confident relationships with clients, and support the business with clear credit control processes.

This role suits someone who wants a school-hours position, is highly organised, excellent on the phone, and committed to making sure accounts are paid on time.

The Role

You will manage day-to-day credit control activity across our three divisions:
Recruitment, Property Maintenance and Building Contracting.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Chasing outstanding invoices by phone and email

  • Reducing debtor days and improving overall cash collection

  • Building strong but firm relationships with customers

  • Working with finance partners, invoice financiers and debt recovery teams when required

  • Sending statements, reminder letters and payment plans

  • Calling customers before due dates and following up on late payments

  • Maintaining accurate records across systems for audit and reporting

  • Reporting directly to the board with:

Cash collections

Overdue debt

Debtor trends

Bad debt risks

Weekly and monthly performance updates

  • Ensuring directors have full visibility of credit position and cashflow

  • Supporting Xero administration (training provided if needed)

  • Using multiple digital systems confidently and accurately

This is a key role in the smooth running of the business.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in credit control is helpful, but not essential — training is provided through a full SOP and hands-on support from the leadership team.

We’re looking for someone who is:

Confident on the phone

Professional but firm when required

Comfortable managing difficult conversations

Extremely IT literate

Organised and detail-focused

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Able to follow structured processes with accuracy

Motivated to improve payment behaviour and reduce overdue debt

Reliable, consistent and committed to the role

Familiarity with Xero is beneficial but not required.

Hours, Pay & Conditions

  • 10:00am – 14:00pm, Monday to Friday

  • £14.00 per hour, rising after probation

  • Annual performance-based bonus

  • Occasional overtime may be required

  • Office-based initially for training and development

  • Hybrid/WFH possible after probation (subject to performance)

  • Attendance required for monthly board meetings

  • Apprenticeship or further finance training available
