Reed have partnered with a client based in Yatton, North Somerset, hiring for a Technical Customer Service Advisor on a full time, permanent basis.

This role involves assisting both the technical estimator and the sales team, facilitating customer orders, and ensuring high standards of service and accuracy. The successful candidate will receive training on quotation and ordering systems and will work closely with various departments to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Duties:

  • Assist in the running of the office, supporting both the technical estimator and the sales team.
  • Handle new business enquiries and process customer requests with high attention to detail.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers over the phone to gather information or progress orders.
  • Liaise with the Quality Control Manager and production departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Produce packing specifications for the transport of product profiles, prioritising health and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure all work is fully traceable.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and report any quality defects to the line manager.
  • Suggest improvements and strategies to reduce wastage.

Requirements:

  • Strong administrative and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competent IT user, proficient in Excel and willing to learn in-house software systems.
  • Experience with 2D AutoCAD is beneficial; training and courses are available.
  • Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • An analytical approach to dealing with enquiries and a good level of literacy and numeracy.

Working Hours:Monday - Thursday - 8.30am - 5.00pm (45 mins break)Friday - 8.30am - 4.00pm (hour break)

Ideally you will be a driver due to the location, unless you live close by, but there is free-parking onsite or a train station a short walk away.
