About the job:

We are expanding our Electrical Architecture team to help shape and mature the next generation of defence systems. As an Electrical Engineer (Architect), you will be pivotal in specifying electrical requirements, defining interfaces, designing power architectures, and ensuring signal safety. This role offers the chance to bring new missile system visions to life and support their development into operational systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specify electrical requirements for subsystems and equipment.
  • Define interfaces and characteristics between electrical components.
  • Design power architectures, including load budgets and profiles.
  • Ensure data communication and processing architecture meets system needs.
  • Define requirements for EMC, bonding, grounding, and screening.
  • Manage signal safety, including routing of safety-related signals.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers and participate in testing activities.

Location: Stevenage or Bristol
Salary: 35,000 - 55,000 depending on experience
Working Arrangement: Full-time onsite role due to workload classification

Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in electrical/electronic engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Willingness to obtain DV clearance.
  • UK/international travel may be required for supplier and customer visits.
