As an Electronics and Electrical Engineer, you will design, test, and sustain advanced electrical and electronic systems, contributing to high-quality products and commercial deliverables. Key Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, test, and prototype electrical/electronic systems to support project goals and commercial deliverables.
- Evaluate systems, products, and components using simulation and research methods to meet customer and internal specifications.
- Produce detailed design documentation, including specifications, schematics, test procedures, and operating manuals, following company procedures.
- Support patent disclosures by identifying innovative technologies and drafting initial descriptions.
- Perform testing, evaluation, modification, and re-testing of products and solutions to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Collaborate across departments to transition new products and systems into commercial solutions.
- Adhere to ISO accreditations (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO27001) and relevant industry standards (BS, EN, etc.).
- Champion proactive QHSE initiatives, prioritizing safety, quality, and environmental considerations in all activities.
- Embrace a continuous improvement approach to enhance work processes and outcomes.
The Person/Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant electrical/electronics discipline or demonstrable experience aligned with the role’s requirements.
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles.
- Familiarity with Altium Designer and SolidWorks Electrical/Mechanical (desirable).
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including BS 7671:2018 IET Wiring Regulations (desirable).
- Understanding of volume manufacturing processes for Printed Circuit Boards and high-reliability electronic/electromechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacture and Design for Test principles.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement techniques and the product development lifecycle.
- Experience with embedded or application software development, software scripting, or languages like C and Python
