Pertemps Bristol is recruiting for Field Service Engineers for one of the nation's leading generator hire company based in BS30, Warmley. This company specialize in providing reliable, sustainable power solutions for various sectors, such as construction/infrastructure, electrical contractors and utilities, and various other applications. This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced Service Engineer. You will play a key role in supporting the Service Department by performing maintenance and repairs on customer-owned diesel generators and our rental fleet. This position requires a high degree of customer interaction and collaboration with various departments, so a strong customer service focus is essential.

£33,850 - £37,150 per annum based on experience
Monday to Friday role, 8am-5pm with Overtime available
Asap start, following interview process
23 days holiday annually (increasing with length of service)

Key Responsibilities:Planned Maintenance and Service· Perform routine servicing and maintenance of diesel generators for both customer-owned and rental equipment.Service and Repairs· Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on customer and rental generators, ensuring quick resolution of any issues.Site Surveys· Conduct site surveys as requested to assess service needs and maintenance requirements.On-Call Duty· Participate in the company’s on-call rota system to provide timely assistance during off-hours.Health & Safety Compliance· Follow the Company Health & Safety Policy, maintaining clean and orderly workspaces, including company vehicles.· Comply with all aspects of the company ISO standards ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 procedures. Proactively contributing to our continuous improvement programme.Skills and Experience:Technical Qualifications· A relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, or Plant Maintenance (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC)· Alternatively, completion of an approved apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering· Proven experience in servicing and repairing generator sets, particularly FG Wilson, Cummins, or similar (Essential)Troubleshooting & Communication· Strong fault-finding skills and effective communication abilitiesField Service Experience· Prior experience working in a field service role (advantageous)Driving & Licencing· Full driving licence requiredCustomer Awareness· Demonstrated ability to understand and meet customer requirements efficiently and effectivelyIndependence and Teamwork· Capable of working independently and as part of a teamCompetency Cards· ECS/CSCS or CCNSG competency card preferred but not essential (training can be provided if necessary)Overtime Rates:Rates apply to hours worked outside of standard times, as outlined below:Monday to Friday12 am to 4 am - Double Time8am to 5pm - Standard Time5pm to Midnight - Time and HalfSaturdays12 am to 4 am - Double Time4 am to Midnight - Time and HalfSundays & BankHolidays - Double Time ( All Hours )If you would like to speak to us about this role, please contact James Guyatt / Abigail Attwood in the Pertemps Bristol Industrial office on option 3 or click apply.
