Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a leading Renewable Energy EPC in international solar and BESS to recruit a HV Engineer for its UK arm of the business.

The HV Engineer role comes with a salary up to 65,000, plus a great benefits package too. This role will be covering the middle south, so think between the Reading and Bristol, down to the south coast.

Responsibilities and duties of the HV Engineer role

Reporting to the Technical Lead you will:

  • Support the teams of O&M Technicians and Engineers across the region
  • Perform SAP duties on Solar and BESS systems
  • Coordinate and schedule HV operations across the region
  • Manage third parties like DNOs, their clients and other contractors
  • Liaising with project teams to ensure all HV activities are performed when required
  • Ensure that all HV Operations are done with the utmost health and safety in mind
  • Training and upskilling more junior members of the team
  • Travelling across the south
  • Annual maintenance scheduling and resource planning


Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Experience in renewables or utilities working in a similar role, switching up to 33-66kv
  • At least three years working on operational sites
  • At least level 3 electrical qualifications
  • HV authorisations
  • Full UK driving licence

The HV Engineer role would suit someone who is:

  • An excellent communicator and fluent in English with excellent writing skills too
  • A genuine self-starter and a passion for Renewables
