Qualified Electrician - Renewable Energy / Solar PV (Between Oxford & Reading - Digs Paid)

We're looking for a Qualified Electrician to join our client's growing team in the renewable energy sector. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week)

Location: Working across sites between Oxford and Reading - digs/accommodation are fully paid when working away.

The Role:

You'll be a key part of delivering renewable energy solutions, primarily solar PV systems, across domestic and/or commercial sites in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and commission solar PV systems
  • Confidently work with AC/DC circuits, inverters, isolators, and monitoring systems
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Diagnose faults and carry out maintenance and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with UK building regulations and DNO requirements
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, and RAMS
  • Identify and report any unsafe installations or practices
  • Use tools and equipment correctly and safely
  • Be willing to travel regionally (or nationally if required), including some overtime/weekend work

Requirements:

  • Recognised electrical apprenticeship or full electrical qualifications (Essential)
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations qualification (Essential)
  • ECS Gold Card (Essential)
  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 points) (Essential)
