A growing technology organisation is hiring aGraduate Cybersecurity Developer / Graduate Cyber Security Engineerto join a modern security engineering team. This role is ideal for a graduate or early-career technologist looking to build hands-on experience acrosscyber security, automation, Python development, cloud infrastructure, APIs and incident response.
You will work alongside experienced engineers delivering security automation and software solutions that protect enterprise systems and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintainPython automation scriptsto support security operations and incident response.
- Support security tooling and automation platforms used within aSecurity Operations (SOC) environment.
- Assist with configuration and maintenance ofLinux-based systems, security hardening and patching.
- Build and supportAPI integrationsbetween internal systems and third-party security tools.
- Contribute tocloud infrastructure integrationsand system design activities.
- Assist withincident detection, investigation and response automation.
- Produce technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- Keep up to date with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities and security best practices.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Degree inComputer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Technologyor similar.
- Programming experience withPython(commercial, academic or personal projects).
- Understanding ofcyber security fundamentals, secure coding and basic networking concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and team collaboration skills.
Desirable
- Exposure toLinux environments.
- Experience withautomation tools such as Ansible.
- Knowledge ofREST APIs and system integrations.
- Familiarity withcloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
- Awareness ofsecurity tools, SOC operations or SIEM platforms.
- Containerisation knowledge (Docker).
- Cyber security certifications (e.g.CompTIA Security+, equivalent).
