The Opportunity

The thriving Bristol office of a leading independent consultancy, headquartered in London, is looking to appoint a Fund Monitoring Surveyor to join its expanding regional team.

This business is a recognised leader in the development and fund monitoring space, boasting the largest dedicated fund monitoring team of any independent consultancy in the UK. The firm continues to grow rapidly and has recently moved into new office space while securing an impressive list of new client mandates.

With a consistently strong pipeline of work across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments, the team is looking for a Surveyor to help deliver monitoring reports to major lenders and funders. The position is ideal for those looking to specialise in a professional, in-demand niche with excellent long-term prospects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver independent project monitoring and reporting to banks, investors, and funding institutions

  • Assess and advise on risk, programme, cost, and procurement across live development schemes

  • Conduct site inspections, review contract documentation, and provide technical due diligence

  • Manage relationships with clients, funders, and internal stakeholders

  • Contribute to internal quality and reporting standards

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in fund/development monitoring

  • Open to candidates with limited monitoring exposure but a strong desire to specialise

  • Excellent report writing and client-facing skills

  • Commercially aware, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently

  • Ideally Chartered Surveyor (Quantity Surveyor, Building Surveyor, or Project Manager)
