Air Quality Consultant - Bristol

Location: Bristol

Join a leading environmental consultancy as an Air Quality Consultant in Bristol. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality air quality assessments, modelling, and technical advice across sectors including infrastructure, transport, urban development, and industry-helping to shape healthier, more sustainable places.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant to take the next step, working alongside industry experts and gaining exposure to major projects while developing your technical and project management skills.



What You'll Do

  • Deliver high-quality projects: Undertake air quality and odour assessments, dispersion modelling (ADMS/AERMOD), and support Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).

  • Provide technical input: Prepare and review reports, contribute to planning and permitting submissions, and liaise with clients, regulators, and local authorities.

  • Support project delivery: Assist with scoping, data analysis, and QA/QC processes to ensure outputs meet client and regulatory requirements.

  • Contribute to business growth: Support bids and proposals, build client relationships, and help expand the consultancy's air quality offering.

  • Develop professionally: Work closely with senior consultants and technical directors, benefiting from mentoring, CPD, and clear career progression.



About You

  • 3-6 years' experience in air quality consultancy or regulation.

  • Strong working knowledge of ADMS / AERMOD and relevant guidance (IAQM/EPUK, LAQM TG(22)).

  • Excellent technical writing, data interpretation, and communication skills.

  • Degree in Environmental/Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.

  • Working towards Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM/MIEnvSc) desirable.

  • Organised, collaborative, and commercially aware with strong attention to detail.
