We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative - Hand Packer to join the Specials Team at our client's site in Almondsbury.This is a physically demanding role involving a variety of production tasks, including sorting and setting. If you are reliable, hands-on, and looking for a long-term opportunity, we would be pleased to hear from you.Working Hours:Training Period (8-16 weeks):Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pmFriday: 7:30am - 3:00pmPost-Training Shift Pattern:5 on / 5 off - 5:00am to 5:00pm (Day shifts only)5 on / 5 off - 5:00am to 5:00pm (Day shifts only)4 on / 4 off - 5:00am to 5:00pm (Day shifts only)Key Responsibilities:- Hand-crafting formed blocks to meet customer orders- Manually transferring wet clay onto stillages- Constructing brick firing stacks with precision- Sorting fired bricks into packs according to customer specifications- Complying with health and safety, quality, and environmental procedures- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and 5S practicesRequirements:- Strong timekeeping and attendance- Self-motivated and proactive- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Good communication skills- High awareness of health and safety- Willingness to learn and operate manufacturing equipment- Own transportDesirable:- Experience in a continuous improvement environment- Certified Counterbalance FLT licence- Recognised training or upskilling qualificationsInterested?Please contact Gi Group on or apply directly through this advert.
