A fantastic, award-winning professional services firm is seeking a strategic and operational finance leader to head up its Finance Operations team. Headquartered in Bristol, this firm is experiencing year-on-year growth as well as seeing a sharp upturn in its profitability.

About the Role

As part of a new-look senior finance leadership team, this permanent role involves oversight of billing, revenue control, accounts payable/receivable, and improving end-to-end finance processes. You’ll work closely with the CFO and enact change across the function, shaping the team in a way that will best service your role and the business for the years to come, as well as working with other internal departments to identify, implement and execute new systems and processes.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance operations team
  • Oversee billing, collections, and working capital performance
  • Partner with business support and client teams to improve finance service delivery
  • Identify and implement operational improvements, including technology upgrades
  • Drive internal audit readiness and ensure appropriate reconciliation procedures
  • Lead process change initiatives aligned to a wider finance transformation agenda

About the Candidate

  • Ideally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) but not essential
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Background in professional services advantageous
  • Expertise in financial operations, compliance, and systems
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with continuous improvement ethos
