Job Title: Qualified Client Manager

Location: Clifton, Bristol

Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time (Flexible – e.g. 3.5 days/week)

Are you a qualified accountant looking for a stable, flexible role.  Do you want to manage a portfolio of loyal SME clients in a supportive, no-overtime environment?  If so, this Client Manager position based in an established accountancy practice in Bristol could be the ideal fit for you.

About the Role

As a Client Manager, you’ll take over a portfolio of clients and be managing everything from accounts preparation and tax compliance to client relationships.  While my client is a registered auditor, audit experience isn’t essential for this role.

This is a great opportunity if you want consistent, rewarding work in a practice that values quality service and flexibility – without any corporate career ladder pressure.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing your own portfolio of owner-managed and SME clients
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory and management accounts
  • Handling personal and corporate tax returns
  • Overseeing the work of two ACCA trainees
  • Communicating directly with clients and building strong, long-term relationships
  • Getting involved in occasional audits (if you’re interested – not essential)

Are you the right fit?

  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA
  • A solid background in general practice, ideally in a small or medium-sized firm
  • Someone who enjoys client work and prefers a balanced role
  • Confident managing a portfolio independently
  • Friendly, professional, and a good communicator

What you will get in return

  • A relaxed, supportive team culture
  • Genuine work/life balance – standard hours, no overtime, and one-hour lunch breaks
  • No pressure to progress or take on more – just great clients and meaningful work
