Job Title: Interim Senior Finance Business Partner / FD-Level SupportContract Type: Interim (4-6 Months)Day Rate: £460 per day (Umbrella)Start Date: ASAP

Our client is seeking a commercially astute, self-directed Interim Senior Finance Business Partner to support their CFO and finance leadership team during a critical period. This role will provide essential bandwidth across commercial, operational, and strategic finance initiatives, with a strong emphasis on insight, analysis, and modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support to the CFO, particularly across commercial finance, business performance insights, and strategic decision-making.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain financial models and board materials.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for finance-related initiatives, with minimal oversight or hand-holding.
  • Take ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes, especially for upcoming April/March board deliverables.
  • Analyse and explain variances in EBITDA, cash performance, and divisional budget performance.
  • Lead or support key finance projects, including:
  • Integration and modelling of new lender debt (outside UK).
  • Budgeting for a Joint Venture component.
  • Creating insight-led board papers and financial commentary.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial finance or senior finance interim role.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfortable operating with limited input - thrives in ambiguous environments and creates clarity and structure.
  • Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills - this is more about insight and rigour than presentation polish.
  • Able to work independently with an intelligent mindset - no need for a spokesperson, just someone with impact and output.
  • Experience supporting CFOs or leadership teams on strategic finance matters.
