Are you looking for a new challenge where you will play a vital role in helping a new company get set up? We are recruiting Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to work for an international import/export company who will be based in Avonmouth. The client is opening up a brand new site and is looking for several forklift drivers who would be in charge of unloading the material shipped from abroad, move it to the warehouse as well as help organise the warehouse / storage facility. We are looking for experienced staff who possess a great "can do" attitude and can work successfully on their own as well as a part of the team.
Please note that there will be other roles coming up within this business soon so if you are potentially looking to process and perhaps lead a team or do some office work, this is a great opportunity.
The core hours for the role will be 7am till 4pm, however, there may be times where the client will ask you to complete overtime as and when needed so candidates will need to be fairly flexible, especially to start off with whilst everything is being set up. Overtime will be paid at enhanced rates.The pay rate for the role is £13.50 per hour, overtime after 8 hours daily and weekends will be paid at £15.50. As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, your duties will include:Unloading containersOrganising and moving products around the warehouseManual duties as and when requiredCandidate requirements:A valid RTITB or ITSSAR Counterbalance forklift licence (5T) obtained or refreshed within the last 3 yearsPrevious experience operating counterbalance forkliftsGood understanding or warehousing operationsGood understanding or Health and Safety regulationsOwn transport to get to the site
