This Primary School in the BS34 area is looking for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to work 37 hours per week beginning at the start of June.

The Role

This Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early years team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and education to children aged 0-5, supporting their development in line with the EYFS framework. You will plan engaging activities, monitor progress through observations and assessments, and create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive. You must have a lively, bubbly personality and have excellent communication skills.

You will be expected to:

  • Holds a relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 3 in Early Years Education).

  • Demonstrates a warm, nurturing, and patient approach with children.

  • Understands child development and uses this to plan age-appropriate activities.

  • Promotes a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.

  • Builds strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

  • Follows safeguarding procedures and ensures child welfare is a top priority.

  • Supports children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.

  • Encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence through play-based learning.
