Business Development Manager 

£40k - £50k DOE

Our well-established client working within the logistics industry are looking to onboard a reliable and experienced Business DevelopmentManager to join their already flourishing team!

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global organisation and be part of a rapidly growing business where hard work and dedication is rewarded. Previous experience within a similar role is a necessity. If you are looking to further your career in the Freight industry then look no further!

Responsibilities:

  • Driving business growth by acquiring new, consistent, and profitable clients across road, sea, air, and courier freight services, as well as identifying customers with warehousing or customs service needs.
  • Exploring and securing new opportunities, clients, and markets, while also finding innovative ways to enhance service delivery for our existing customer base.
  • Collaborating with the operations team to support account management, ensuring a personalised and high-quality service experience for all clients you introduce.
  • Maintaining clear and healthy profit margins on all accounts and shipments, and actively seeking opportunities to optimise profitability.
  • Visiting prospective and current clients to build relationships and better understand their logistics and supply chain needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a sales role in the freight forwarding industry
  • Understanding of global logistics
  • Strong skills in negotiation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Results driven
  • Flexible and reliable with a good attitude
  • Good time management
