We currently have an opportunity for an Bid Manager to join an award winning construction company.

About the company:

This Bristolbased contractor works on schemes within the Education, Commercial, Leisure, Industrial and Defence. Typically the projects range between 3-25 million within the South West and Wales region.

About the role:

As a Bid Manager you will report directly to the Head of Pre-Construction leading a team to successfully secure future works. Ideally, this contractor are seeking an individual with previous experience, at Bid Manager Level, within the main contracting field as you will be managing the bid process from launch to handover and managing juniors within the team. However, if you are a Senior Bid Writer looking for the next step in your career this role may also be the opportunity for you.

Main responsibilities - Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Leading the bid team and bid process through to submission
  • Manage bid documentation for tenders and work programmes
  • Assisting with Bid content so strong written skills required
  • Assess technical and complex bid requirements
  • Responsible for client presentations and liaison
  • chairing bid meetings and coordinating tender queries
  • Managing the visual content and leading designers to achieve winning bid presentations

About you:

  • Experience in position gained from working with a construction contractor.
  • You will have good technical construction knowledge
  • Be communicative, highly organised
  • Able to lead bids from inception through to project award.
  • You will have a creative flare which you are able to channel into both the writing and visual aspect of the Bid
  • Happy to assist and lead client presentations
