Class 1 Night Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Avonmouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Driver (CAT C&E) to join the team on nights part time.

Hours:Friday & Sunday nights with additional shifts to pick up through the week when available.

Pay Rate:£15.31 per hour PAYE

Location:Avonmouth , BS11

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate

The role:

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
• Handling runs with 4-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
• 40 hour workweeks for full time positions but flexible contracts are an option.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
