Juice Recruitmentis delighted to be working in partnership with an online retail company, with the appointment of a Demand Planner. They are a family run business who have clients throughout the UK and Europe.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in forecasting and purchasing products that align with market and company requirements, while minimising operational costs and maintaining product availability.
DAY TO DAY:
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the demand and forecast planning for a wide range of products.
- Using statistical methods, sales data, market trends to predict future product demand and contributing to business strategy planning.
- Liaising with sales, finance and marketing teams to gather information e.g. promotions, product launches or economic shifts.
- Generating reports assessing forecast accuracy and inventory performance.
- Working closely with suppliers to manage product quantity and submit orders.
- Contribute to supplier negotiation.
- Implement best practices and adopt new technologies, attending conferences and seminars with industry experts.
About You:
- Experience in a Demand Planning or Purchasing role.
- Strong understanding of the business environment and market dynamics.
- Excellent numeric ability.
- Previous experience with data analysis and proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
- A proactive thinker.
