Exam Invigilator - Bristol (BS4)

We are seeking Exam Invigilators to work in a mainstream secondary school in Bristol during their mock exams and formal examination periods. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who want to support students during one of the most important stages of their academic journey!

  • £13.68 per hour
  • Session Times - 9.00 am - 12.00pm / 30pm - 4.00pm
  • School is based in Brislington, with excellent public transport links
  • Full training is provided for this position

About the role

  • Attending regular briefings by the Exams Officer
  • Setting up examination rooms, and clearing away after the exam
  • Welcoming students into the exam hall and ensuring a positive, organised atmosphere. Recording attendance on the examination seating plans
  • Monitoring students during the examination period, ensuring there is no talking or disruption
  • Ensuring candidates obey the regulations of an examination room as laid out in the JCQ examination guidelines

The right candidate

  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Effective written and oral skills
  • Previous experience of working in a school environment
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
