About the Role:
This role is based in Bristol and offers hybrid working flexibility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in FPGA design and development, with a strong preference for those familiar with CEMA (Communications, Electronics, and Microwave Applications).
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test FPGA-based solutions for advanced defense and aerospace systems.
Collaborate closely with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration and system performance.
Develop and review technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans.
Perform FPGA code reviews, verification, and validation activities.
Support system troubleshooting and provide technical expertise during project phases.
Work within project timelines to deliver high-quality solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven FPGA development experience, preferably using VHDL or Verilog.
Practical experience with FPGA toolchains (Xilinx, Intel/Altera, etc.).
Knowledge of CEMA technologies is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Previous experience in defense, aerospace, or related sectors is a plus.
