Job Title: NQ - 3 PQE Contentious Probate Solicitor Salary: £40K - £50K Hours: Full time Location: Bristol, hybrid. Job Reference: CWS455RESPONSIBILITIES* Manage a varied caseload involving contentious probate matters.* Advise clients on disputes related to wills, estates, and trusts.* Prepare and draft legal documents, including statements of case and correspondence.* Conduct legal research to support case strategies.* Represent clients in court* Collaborate with senior colleagues on complex cases.* Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.* Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.* Participate in business development and client relationship activitiesREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:* Qualified Solicitor registered in England and Wales NQ + * Solid background within disputes resolution ideally dealing with contentious probate matters.* Experience contributing to business development initiatives and fostering strong client relationships and a willingness to attend networking events. * Ideally you will be a member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists but this is not essential. * A confident and approachable communicator, able to provide clear and empathetic advice to clients on complex issues relating to wills, estates, and trusts.* Excellent drafting and writing skills.* Proactive and analytical when conducting legal research to support case strategies, demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.* Comfortable representing clients in hearings, conferences, and other legal proceedings, with the confidence to advocate effectively in court.* A collaborative team player, working well with senior colleagues on complex cases, and open to feedback and further development.* Highly organised and diligent, with a proven ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date client records while meeting legal deadlines.* Results-driven and client-focused, able to balance legal expertise with a practical understanding of clients' needs and expectations.IN RETURN:* 25 days holiday + additional leave + buy up to 5 days * Enhanced employer pension contribution * Bonus structure * Flexible working * Childcare vouchers + other vouchers and subscriptions * Staff Wellbeing programme* Professional Development.For more details please contact: cait.woodrow-smith @ Simpsonjudge.co.uk
