Splunk Engineer | Contract | 4 months+ | Circa £650p/d Inside IR35 | Remote | SC Cleared:
The role:
Reviva are working with a growing Cyber Security Consultancy who are looking for a Splunk Engineer to join on an initial 4 month contract, likely to last until November/ December time. The right candidate can be based anywhere in the UK and must have SC Clearance.
Key Information:
- Day rate: Inside IR35 - £600p/d - £685p/d
- Location: Remote
- Duration: 4 months with extension to 6 months or more in the works.
- Active SC Clearance required
Responsibilities:
- Develop a design for the standard security-focused Splunk subscription within the PSP tenancy (collaboration with Security Architects and Secure by Design leads for support from CISD)
- Create and manage the engineering delivery plan.
- Incorporate firewall rules directly into the design.
- The final design should be created in Draw.io or Visio, with a PDF version available for review and approval by the SoC Lead and the Change Advisory Board (CAB).
- Build and implement the subscription according to the agreed-upon deliverables and timeline.
- Support the migration from the existing system to the new subscription environment.
- Ensure all design documentation (High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs) are properly recorded and stored in the DfE SoC SharePoint.
- Facilitate a complete and tested handover to the DevOps team.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience of Splunk Engineering experience (ideally in Azure) including design, implementation and testing.
- Migration experience of Splunk instances.
- Knowledge to be able to support migration project planning activities.
- Active SC Clearance until December 2025 or later.
