This role sits at the heart of a complex defence system, responsible for assessing evolving threats to protected assets and supporting the planning and management of engagements in highly dynamic operational environments.

Working on a large-scale defence project provides broad exposure across the full product development lifecycle, with regular interaction across multiple engineering disciplines. The role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the delivery of real-world capability, supporting systems designed to meet demanding operational and customer requirements.

As a Validation and Verification Engineer, you will support product development through the definition of test scenarios and success criteria, ensuring the system demonstrably meets its requirements. You will also produce and maintain verification plans, working closely with design authorities to agree verification approaches and methods, ensuring compliance, traceability and technical robustness throughout development.

Experience Required

  • Systems design/ systems engineering experience in software based equipment.

  • Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience)

  • Hands-on experience of SysML, Rhapsody and DOORS tools would be desirable, but training will be provided where needed
