Description
- Managing the VAT affairs of the organisation and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Providing expert VAT advice to the wider Tax department and stakeholders.
- Developing and implementing VAT strategies to optimise the organisation's tax position.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure understanding and correct application of VAT.
- Staying abreast of changes in VAT legislation and assessing the potential impact on the business.
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and other necessary documentation.
- Managing relationships with external advisers and authorities.
- Leading and mentoring junior members of the Tax department.
Profile
A successful VAT Manager should have:
- A professional qualification in Tax or Accounting.
- Proven experience in a similar VAT role within Practice or inhouse environment
- Strong technical knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- A strategic approach to problem-solving and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
