Join this impressive team at the Bristol Depot as a Workshop Fitter, where you will be instrumental in maintaining our fleet of Telescopic Handlers. This role is perfect for someone who is hands-on and thrives in ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and LOLER safety inspections.
- Perform scheduled servicing and general repairs, along with damage assessments.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed to high standards to keep machinery safe, reliable, and ready for hire.
- Work efficiently to support the depot's operational needs by turning machines around quickly and accurately.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience with plant machinery and diesel engines.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills, both spoken and written English.
- CSCS card is advantageous but not essential.
