Carbon60 are currently looking for a ATA32 Engineer to join a client of ours based in Filton. This is a contract position working until the end of June 2026. There is a hybrid aspect to this role once the successful candidate is settled into the role.

Our client is a leading aircraft manufacturer with sites not only in the UK, but globally. As the ATA32 Gears Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and resolving in-service issues affecting the landing gear products used across the company's aircraft fleet.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating with the In-Service Engineering Department to investigate and understand the root causes of major in-service problems and events that could impact the airworthiness of the company's aircraft.
- Conducting engineering studies, in liaison with landing gear suppliers, to propose effective solutions, which may involve equipment redesign.
- Providing timely responses to customer queries to minimise aircraft downtime due to landing gear equipment failures.
- Developing engineering solutions and studies to support the company's customer-facing teams in addressing operational interruptions caused by landing gear-related issues.
- Continuously expanding your technical expertise and knowledge of landing gear products to become self-sufficient in your tasks.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A strong background in landing gear engineering, with a deep understanding of the associated systems and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex in-service issues.
- Exceptional communication abilities to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- A proactive and reactive approach to addressing customer needs and minimising aircraft downtime.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and development to stay at the forefront of industry trends and technologies.

As this is a contract position we have both PAYE and Umbrella rates available.
