Maritime Safety Engineer

Various locations - Bristol, Plymouth, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Falmouth & Liverpool)

Paying between 55,000 -75,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Circa 4+ years working in UK defense surface ships. Consideration will be given to both those with previous consultancy experience and those direct from a suitable Forces role.
  • Detailed working knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including DSA02-DMR and Def Stan 00-056,
  • Proven track record in managing and delivering technical projects and/ or multiple concurrent technical projects,
  • Proven track record in successfully delivering bids.
  • Successful track record in providing Business development support, liaising with stakeholders and clients

Required Skillset:

  • Proven and recent experience of undertaking detailed hazard and risk analysis utilizing such techniques as SWIFT, HAZOP, FMECA, FTA, LOPA, etc.
  • Experience in working with autonomous platforms.
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining successful client relationships, securing enduring workstreams.
  • Experience in staff management
  • Degree qualified.
  • Chartered engineer, Member of a relevant professional institution.
