Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a leading environmental and engineering consultancy who are looking to recruit a Graduate Acoustic Consultant for their established office in Bristol. This is a fantastic opening for a motivated graduate to begin their career in a supportive consultancy delivering a wide portfolio of exciting projects across the UK.



Position Overview

Working from the Bristol office, you will:

  • Take part in noise surveys, on-site measurements, and acoustic data analysis.

  • Assist senior consultants with noise modelling using software such as SoundPLAN and CadnaA.

  • Contribute to the preparation of reports and environmental noise assessments for transport, industrial, and infrastructure schemes.

  • Build knowledge of key technical standards, including BS5228, BS4142, and DMRB/CRT.

  • Carry out site visits and liaise with clients, planners, and stakeholders.

  • Work closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines including engineering, environmental, and planning teams.



Candidate Profile

The successful Graduate Acoustic Consultant will have:

  • A degree in Acoustics, Environmental Science, Physics, or a similar subject.

  • A genuine interest in environmental acoustics and noise assessment.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Motivation to work towards professional membership of the IOA (or equivalent).

  • A full UK driving licence (advantageous).
