Team Educate are seeking a reliable and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant every morning to assist a Y5 pupil who has recently transition back to mainstream school.

Team Educate are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to work every morning with a child in BS3 who has recently made the transition from an ALP back into mainstream education. The child has had a great start few terms back in a mainstream setting, making some excellent strides forwards, however due to some Summer commitments, the current TA is unable to continue this role into term 6. The ideal candidate would have an interest in sports, have a patient and resilient attitude when it came to supporting young people with additional needs and have a proactive approach to problem solving. Although experience is advantageous, the school will consider applicants who would be willing to undergo Team Teach training before the post begins.

The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will require:

  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or be willing to put a new application through)
  • A proven track record of making a difference in children's lives
  • A proactive approach to working with children with a history of ACEs and Trauma
  • Availability to work every morning during the term time until the end of the academic year
