Teaching Assistant - Mainstream SEN - Primary School

Academics Bristol is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEND) and helping every child reach their potential. This role is based in a 'good' primary, part of an award-winning multi-academy trust, who are committed to preparing children for the future through high-quality teaching, inclusion, and character development.

Location: Montpelier, Bristol BS6 - easily accessible by public transport
Salary: 90 - 115 per day, depending on experience
Contract: Term time only

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Work with individual pupils on a 1:1 basis, supporting their learning and development.
Supervise and provide tailored support for pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
Encourage pupils to engage with others and participate in teacher-led activities.
Create a purposeful and supportive learning environment and assist with the display of pupils' work.
Monitor and record progress, feeding back to teachers.
Help promote positive behaviour, resilience and independence.

We are looking for someone who:

Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Has GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grades A-C / 9-4).
Brings experience of working with children with a variety of educational needs.
Can model positive behaviour and encourage good social skills.
Has the ability to motivate, inspire and build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
