A leading manufacturing group supplying the aerospace, automotive, defence and industrial sectors has a new vacancy for a HR Manager. Part of the senior management team, you will play an integral role in supporting business goals, strategic employee development and working with the senior executive team. Candidates are sought with experience with employee development strategies and ideally will have worked in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

Develop and manage the company people strategy.

Management of Internal and External HR processes.

Provide support, training and advice to managers in best practise.

Implement, maintain and enhance the organisations performance management system.

Support managers to effectively manage and retain talent alongside succession planning and advise with learning and development initiatives and training events.

Continuously monitor and improve HR policies and processes.

Ensure consistent application of company policies in line with legislation across all business areas and the development of policies when required.

Manage the apprentice recruitment and development process

Management of the HRIS, ensuring it is kept up to date and runs efficiently and effectively

Lead by example, demonstrating a proactive, ethical and can-do approach.

The Person

Experience in a senior Human Resources position, preferably in a fast-paced environment (manufacturing, logistics, distribution, etc).

Must demonstrate a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment.

Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.

Good understanding of all aspects of HR; employment law, L&D & recruitment.

Keen to encourage learning and development across the business.

Commercially astute, supporting the business in the achievement of its targets.

Approachable and compassionate individual capable of handling situations of a sensitive nature.
